Some gifts simply cannot be saved for later. Summer afternoons, conversations with friends, the laughter of family, and ice cream cones all share one thing in common: they are meant to be enjoyed while they are here. Perhaps the Gospel has something to teach us about being fully present to the gifts God places before us today.
