For 27 years I have been a Anglican priest in the Anglican church of Canada. I am passionate about growing the church through excellence in preaching, liturgy and music. I believe that — as the US presiding Bishop says — “If it’s not about love, its not about God.” I have always worked to develop inclusive communities where all are important and valued.
Husband, father, grandfather, uncle and priest. I am an extremely active person who likes to be busy and enjoy adventures. I am blessed to share a family of two wonderful step-daughters with my wife Rebecca. We are also blessed to have one tiny granddaughter.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Laurentian University in Sudbury Ontario. I also hold a Master of Divinity with honours from Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario specializing in Old Testament Languages and Literature.
As an Anglican Priest, I have served three very different sorts of parishes, from two small urban churches in a multi-point configuration to a very large Urban parish in the city of Kitchener, to the Cathedral of the Diocese of Ontario. I love to work for strong liturgy, music and preaching.
I have worked in many different cultural settings, including working for a sabbatical in the Dioceses of Colombia and Amazonia. I speak multiple languages, and for a time had a Spanish-language congregation as a part of my parish. I have also travelled extensively, including taking time with family to explore and hike the Galapagos Islands.
I am an avid reader, of both Fiction and non-fiction. and find opportunities to learn from almost everything to add variety to my clergy life.
